Arvatia West High School Editor’s note: Football Coaches, in general, really love their kids. The following letter illustrates why coaches do what they do. This story also illustrates why we love what we do. behalf of two young men that I sincerely believe are deserving of BFS All American honors. Both of them improve themselves since then. They don’t smoke, drink, or use drugs. They don’t lie, cheat or steal. They have never been in trouble with the law. They are outgoing, dependable, completely trustworthy young leaders. Young men of this unusual to have two of them in one class. Not surprisingly, they are best of friends.

(Il begin with our middle linebacker Erich Sawyer, the outstanding leader of our defense. Believe me, there was never any question as to who was In charge on the field when the defense was in.

One teammate described Erich as, “hyperactive dynamite.” [ cannot think of a more accurate description season.
