Jim Brown
Clinician/Sales Rep · Missouri
Coach Brown has been using BFS since 1981 and started doing clinics in 1987, and has given more than 600 of them.

Nick Goshe
Clinician/Sales Rep
As a player, Coach Goshe hails from the state of Ohio where he was a member of Chardon High School’s 1994 Division II state championship football team. He was named the Division II Defensive Player of the Year in the state of Ohio his senior year, and ended his high school career with an overall record of 44-4. He continued his playing career at Mount Union College, home of the national champion Purple Raider football program, where he lettered his sophomore year and was a part of two national championship football teams. Following his playing career, Coach Goshe began his coaching experience at Mount Union College under the guidance of legendary head coach Larry Kehres.

Wade McGee
National Director of Native Programs
Coach Wade McGee is a member of the Cherokee tribe of Oklahoma. He is the son of the late Jerry McGee and Lela (Parrish) McGee of Oklahoma. Wade McGee’s mother, was of the Long Hair Clan of the Cherokee Nation. Wade grew up in Several towns in Oklahoma, maintaining a high GPA and excelling in football, basketball, track, and baseball. In high school, he became the leading rusher in the state, was named to the All Shrine Bowl Team and received the Army Reserve Academic Athlete of the Year award. In 1987 he graduated from Delaware High School in Delaware, Oklahoma.

Rod Mergardt
Professional Development Director
Rod Mergardt joined BFS in 2010 after a long and successful career in public education which included teaching Physical Education at every level K-12, coaching Football as well as both boys and girls Track, Swimming, Diving and Gymnastics. He continues to teach on the faculty of two colleges and is a consultant to school districts. Through his thirty-three years as a school district administrator of Health, Physical Education and Athletics he has gained an appreciation of what BFS can contribute to the youth of our country.

Dr. Peter Gorman
Graduate New York Chiropractic College; Now the President of Microgate USA
Dr. Peter Gorman is currently working with BFS Inc. developing the Child's Right to Symmetrical and Coordinated Growth project. He has brought together a team of leaders in the field of movement, sport and injury recovery, and prevention that will enable this project to positively impact the lives of youth across the nation.

Mark McKown
Mark McKown has over 25 years of experience working with NBA athletes, 21 of those as Director of Sports Science, Head Strength and Conditioning Coach and Player Development Coach for the Utah Jazz. McKown became the franchise’s first full-time strength-and-conditioning coach on September 29, 1997.

Dr. Waters has had an expansive career in athletics on a wide variety of sports and levels of involvement. She served in the USAF at a variety of posts including Developing Aerobic Exercise Program for USAF Pararescue Program, Lackland, AFB, Texas.

Dr. Anne Shadle
BFS Clinician and Rep
Dr. Anne Shadle is a graduate of the University of Nebraska, with a B.S. in Exercise Science. Shadle was a member of the Huskers’ national powerhouse track and field team. She was an NCAA National Champion in both the indoor mile and the outdoor 1500 meters, a two-time All-American, a three-time Big 12 Champion, an eight-time All Big 12 Conference Team member, a four-time Big 12 All-Academic Team member, and still holds three Nebraska school records. Following graduation, Shadle ran three years professionally for Reebok and competed in the 2008 Olympic Trials. Throughout her high school career, Shadle trained under the Bigger, Faster, Stronger model which she believes helped to stay healthy throughout her career and also gave her the foundation for building her athletic career.

Dr Ernie Rimer
Director of Sport Science; University of Utah Athletics
Dr Ernie Rimer is in the 17th year of his career working in collegiate, Olympic, and professional sport. He currently serves the University of Utah Athletics as Director of Sports Science. Over the course of his career, he has served athletes from nearly two-dozen different sports. Beyond his professional role at Utah Athletics, he is a Ph.D. student in Utah’s Department of Exercise & Sports Science. His research focuses on novel applications that can increase sports performance and enhance rehabilitation. Rimer received his master’s degree in education in 2006 and his bachelor’s degree in exercise science in 2004. He was also a BFS athlete in high school. Rimer and his wife Alyssa reside in Salt Lake City, Utah. They share two daughters, Veronika and Layla, and a son, Max.

Dr. William Brechue
Professor of Physical Education
Dr. William Brechue is a Professor of Physical Education at the United States Military Academy at West Point NY. In this role he serves as the Director of the Center for Physical Development Excellence (the department’s research center) and program director of the Kinesiology Bachelor’s Degree program. Previous academic appointments include the Department of Kinesiology and Health Studies at the University of Central Oklahoma (2006), the Department of Kinesiology at Indiana University (1995-2002) and at the University of Florida College of Medicine in the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics (1987-1993) and Department of Medicine (1993-1995). Prior to completing his doctoral work Dr. Brechue taught grade school and high school Mathematics and Physical Education.

Dr. Drew vonLintel, PhD
Drew vonLintel is a physical education teacher at Hillside Middle School in Salt Lake City School District. He is from Helena, Montana. He has a B.A from Northern Arizona University and a PhD in Adapted Physical Education from the University of Utah. In 2011 he accepted an Adapted Physical Education teaching position (4 years) in Salt Lake City School District. He is now a physical education teacher at Hillside Middle School where his program focuses on lifetime fitness activities, fitness and conditioning, fundamental skills of movement, and strength training for athletics.

Dr. Scott Burkhart, Ph.D.
Dr. Scott Burkhart is a neuropsychologist trained in clinical concussion management and treatment. Dr. Burkhart completed his concussion fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Sports Concussion Program. Prior to his fellowship training, Dr. Burkhart completed a residency at Tewksbury Hospital in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. Dr. Burkhart completed his graduate and undergraduate training in psychology at George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon.

Paula Davis
Clinician/Sales Rep
Coach Paula Davis joined the BFS team in 2008. Her father, Paul, was in the military, and Davis was born in Frankfurt, Germany. She came into this world with the tremendous challenge of being born with cerebral palsy, which delayed her from walking until the age of two. When she was in the sixth grade, her father retired in Laquey, Missouri. Davis graduated in 1980 with honors from Laquey High School, a 2A school where for all four years she played varsity basketball, volleyball and softball and was a cheerleader.
