Nick Goshe

As a player, Coach Goshe hails from the state of Ohio where he was a member of Chardon High School’s 1994 Division II state championship football team. He was named the Division II Defensive Player of the Year in the state of Ohio his senior year, and ended his high school career with an overall record of 44-4. He continued his playing career at Mount Union College, home of the national champion Purple Raider football program, where he lettered his sophomore year and was a part of two national championship football teams. Following his playing career, Coach Goshe began his coaching experience at Mount Union College under the guidance of legendary head coach Larry Kehres.

Currently Coach Goshe coaches football at Fremd High School, girls track at Grayslake Central High School, and is a Life Fitness Teacher at Grayslake Central High School. In recent years he has successfully coached all levels of high school football and track. His most recent accomplishments include turning Grayslake Central High School football program from a 0-9 team to a back to back playoff appearances team as their head coach, coaching on back to back playoff teams at Fremd High School as an assistant coach, and being a part of one of the most successful girls track programs in the history of Grayslake Central High School as an assistant coach.

Coach Goshe is always looking forward to strengthening his status educationally and athletically in the state of Illinois. Coach Goshe is extremely excited about the opportunities that present themselves day in and day out. He continuously looks forward to each upcoming day with great anticipation and looks forward to working with the great parents, faculty, staff, and coaches he encounters. Coach Goshe’s favorite saying exemplifies this attitude. “Save it for Today!”

Coach Goshe holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Mount Union College in Physical Education and a Masters Degree from Kent State University in Educational Administration. Coach Goshe is married to his wife April and together they have two children. The Goshe family currently resides in Barrington, Illinois.
