SUCCESS STORIES By Greg Shepard It was unbelievably exciting last December in Daytona Beach, Florida. There were 5,000 rabid high school fans on one side and another 5,000 on the other side. The whole town of Key West, Florida seemed like they were there. It was the culmination of one of the dreams and the goals. Coach Pat Freeman, his staff, team, student body, band, parents, townspeople, teachers and administrators were enjoying the glory of participating in the state championship game.

Key West All-American Corey Sawver began the excitement with an electrifying run for the first score.
Key West built a 10-0 lead but in the end the final step in the dream was not to be. The clinic has proven to be more valuable than I can say. All of our players set their goals very high during the off-season and we had a great year of work. 29 of our 40 varsity players are now Dead Lifting over 400 Ibs. 15 Power Clean over 225. I am very pleased. We are off to a 3-0 start defeating last years state 4-A runner-up West Charlotte 28-14 in our first game.
